Simplify your life
Group passwords into folders and share those folders with whomever you want.
Create as many folders as you like. Add and remove both people and passwords to the folders.
Valt Sharing is an enhanced set of features within the Valt app available on the store. Right now there are two ways to request access to Valt Sharing.
To view and manage a folder, click 'All Passwords' at the top of your inventory. This will display a drop down menu of all your folders. Click a folder to view its contents. From this view you can see all the users with access to that folder (if you do not own the folder you can only see the owner) and organize the passwords in the folder (via the "Organize" folder icon).
By clicking the wrench icon in the top right you can access settings for this folder. From here you can customize the label colors for the folder or opt to leave the folder. If you are an owner you can also change the folder name, delete the folder and manage the permissions for people who have access to this folder and its passwords.
How do I share a password? To share a single password, click the Share button on the bottom right of the password screen, and enter the email address of the person you'd like to share with as well as any other passwords you'd like to include. This will automatically create a folder for which you can customize the name and label color.
To share an existing folder (and so all the passwords in it), go to that folder and click the share icon in the top right. You can also go to settings for that folder via the wrench icon in the top right to manage all the users who have access to this folder.
Can the people I share with change my passwords?By default, anyone you share a password with will be able to view the password and see any changes you make to it in Valt, but not edit, delete or share it with others. Once someone has accepted your share (either by opening the app or downloading and setting up their Valt) you can promote them to a owner of the folder you shared in the settings menu for that folder (accessed the wrench icon in the top right of the folder view). This allows them to edit, share and delete any password they have access to.
